ACE and RILEY is a women-run Vancouver startup dedicated to transforming the way girls play.ACE and RILEY is committed to levelling the playing field for girls by creating toys, activities and experiences that promote curiosity, problem-solving and exposure to foundational STEM skills while embracing and encouraging a lot of SASS.
Alternative Creations Studio
Alternative Creations Studio, located in East Vancouver, is a collective that supports artists with developmental disabilities. Our studio provides the opportunity for artists to hone their skills, working both figuratively and abstractly and sometimes the space in between.
Building Caring Communities
Our mission is to build connected communities that welcome diversity, invite contributions and mobilize around what matters to them. Building Caring Communities (BCC) is a partnership of four agencies (Burnaby Association for Community Inclusion, Inclusion Powell River Society, Kinsight and posAbilities) who came together to end social isolation and address the issues around flourishing and resilience for people with developmental disabilities in urban, suburban and rural environments.
posAbilities
posAbilities provides a broad range of services to persons with developmental disabilities and their families. Their team of approximately 600 employees includes community and residential support workers, community connectors, employment specialists, behavior consultants, other professionals, and a network of shared living contractors. They currently serve more than 1,200 children and adults in Metro Vancouver and other parts of BC.
