Bonjour,

I am Lucile, orthopédagogue. I specialize in learning difficulties and disabilities in reading, writing and math in French.

As a child, I preferred to memorize the lyrics of ''the Lion King'' movie rather than the multiplication tables. The ‘‘dictée’’ horrified me! However, I wanted to become a teacher.

So quite quickly, I was helping my friends with their homework. I saw the usefulness and their pride in understanding. During my university studies in ‘‘special education’’, it was there that I learned how to ‘‘crack the spelling code’’ in French!

More than 10 years ago, I chose to work with learners with learning difficulties or with a learning disability in reading and writing (dyslexia, dysorthographia). In 2013, I chose to return to school to obtain my Bachelor of Education in Specialized Education from the University of Montréal. I decided to continue my studies in cognitive didactics in assessment and intervention in reading and writing at the University of Québec à Montréal.

Now I complete my studies with a master's degree in orthopedagogie. And today, I show children the learning strategies to succeed.
